Please note that Column A represents the flat chest width of the finished garment, not the full chest circumference. To calculate the chest circumference, simply multiply this measurement by 2.

How to Measure
Use a soft measuring tape and measure over a T-shirt, not a heavy sweater.
- Chest: wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms. Keep it level and snug, not tight.
- Sleeve: start at the shoulder edge and measure down the outside of the arm to the wrist bone, with the arm relaxed.
- Shoulder: measure straight across the back, from one shoulder edge to the other.
- Back length: measure from the base of the neck down to where you want the jacket to end, usually the top of the hips.
The easiest method is to lay a jacket that already fits well flat on a table, measure it at points A to E, and compare it with this varsity jacket size chart. For more detail, read our varsity jacket size guide.
Fit Guide
- Regular fit: add 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) to your body chest measurement, then compare with Front Chest (A) × 2.
- Room for a hoodie: add 6–8 inches (15–20 cm), or choose one size up.
- Between two sizes: take the larger size for a relaxed look, the smaller for a closer fit.
- By fabric: wool and leather jackets are structured and hold their shape. Satin jackets sit closer to the body.

Need a size that is not on the chart, such as extra-long sleeves or a longer body? Send us your measurements or your own size chart with your order, and we make the jacket to those numbers. They are finished jacket measurements, taken flat. Add ease to your body measurement before comparing.
Do your varsity jackets run big or small?
They follow this chart. Most people order their usual size and size up only if they plan to layer.
Can you make a custom size?
Yes. Send your measurements with the order and we will make the jacket to them.
Can I exchange a jacket if I choose the wrong size?
Every jacket is made to order, so we can’t exchange or refund for a wrong size choice. Please check your size carefully, or contact us before ordering.
